Technical Lead Mobile – iOS, Android

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance the mobile architecture strategy for both iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) platforms, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Lead technical decision-making regarding cross-platform consistency, shared design patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture), and optimizations specific to each platform.

• Design and implement essential native features in iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) and/or Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose), including secure authentication processes (Auth0, OAuth2) and cloud service integrations.

• Mentor and develop the skills of senior and mid-level mobile engineers through code reviews, design discussions, architecture conversations, and pair programming.

• Establish and uphold mobile engineering standards, including code quality, testing strategies (unit, UI, integration), security practices (Keychain, secure storage, certificate pinning), and CI/CD best practices.

• Promote the adoption of automated testing frameworks (XCTest, JUnit, Espresso, Compose UI tests) and mobile observability tools (Firebase Crashlytics, analytics platforms).

• Work closely with Product, UX, Backend, and DevOps teams to align the mobile technical roadmap with business objectives and ensure seamless API integrations.

• Resolve complex technical challenges, perform root cause analysis for production issues, and advocate for continuous improvement across mobile platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in commercial mobile development with extensive knowledge of native iOS (Swift) and/or native Android (Kotlin).

• More than 2 years in a technical leadership position (Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or equivalent), with demonstrated experience in mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions.

• Strong understanding of contemporary mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture) and the ability to apply them effectively across platforms.

• Practical experience in integrating REST APIs, implementing secure authentication workflows (OAuth2, Auth0, JWT), and engaging with cloud-based backend services.

• Proficiency with automated testing frameworks: unit tests (XCTest, JUnit), UI tests (Espresso, Compose UI tests, XCUITest), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Fastlane).

• Proven success in delivering production-grade mobile applications at scale, focusing on performance optimization, reliability, and user experience.

• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
