Technical Lead, Machine Learning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance production machine learning systems for applications based on large language models (LLM).

• Create training and evaluation pipelines to ensure ongoing model enhancements.

• Fine-tune foundational models utilizing contemporary adaptation methods such as LoRA, QLoRA, SFT, and DPO.

• Improve inference performance, latency, and GPU resource utilization.

• Generate high-quality training datasets along with evaluation frameworks.

• Take charge of the deployment, monitoring, and reliability of machine learning services in a production setting.

• Assist in establishing engineering standards while guiding a small, high-caliber machine learning team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and deploying production machine learning systems utilized by actual users.

• Proficient in Python and experienced with PyTorch (or JAX).

• Practical experience in LLM fine-tuning and optimizing inference processes.

• In-depth knowledge of machine learning infrastructure, distributed training, or GPU-centric systems.

• Strong engineering mindset emphasizing scalability, reliability, and code quality.

• Ability to take ownership in a dynamic startup environment.
