Technical Lead, Central AI Lab

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and deliver production-ready AI functionalities that can be utilized across Vesta Business Units (BUs).

• Lead technical exploration with BUs to understand constraints, data readiness, integration points, and security needs.

• Promote the adoption of AI-DLC methodology throughout Portfolio BUs by setting a leading example.

• Create full-stack solutions: APIs, integrations, data workflows, and user interface components where necessary.

• Implement CI/CD practices for AI-driven systems.

• Enhance reliability through observability, cost management, latency control, fail-safes, and safe failure strategies.

• Operationalize AI-DLC/AI-SDLC methodologies: specification-first delivery, evaluation harnesses, quality checkpoints, and verifiable outputs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in building and managing production software systems (SaaS, enterprise, or comparable).

• Strong understanding of SDLC principles: testing, code reviews, CI/CD, release management, and incident analysis.

• Demonstrated capability in designing secure systems: authentication/authorization, secrets management, auditing/logging, and least privilege principles.

• Proficient in backend engineering (APIs, data storage, asynchronous patterns) and comfortable with "full stack" development as required.

• Knowledgeable in cloud technologies and DevOps practices (AWS and/or Azure; containers; infrastructure automation).

• Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM functionalities into products or workflows.
