This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Engage in technical interviews, focusing on system design and detailed discussions.
• Pose scenario-based inquiries that target real-world production and regulatory challenges.
• Assess candidate responses to distinguish between practical experience and theoretical understanding.
• Examine take-home assignments or architectural diagrams when relevant.
• Deliver concise, structured written feedback along with a recommendation for hire or no-hire.
• Proven experience in designing and managing large-scale data and machine learning platforms.
• Ability to evaluate implementation-level expertise and system-level decision-making capabilities.
• Experience with comprehensive data platforms that integrate on-premises infrastructure and AWS.
• Analyze architectural choices for scalability, fault tolerance, cost efficiency, and data lineage.
• Design systems with FDA compliance in mind from the outset.
• Knowledge of DICOM, PACS workflows, and familiarity with tools such as Orthanc.
• Evaluate ingestion and quality control strategies for CT imaging, video, C-Arm data, and radiology reports.
• Understanding of data validation, normalization, and failure management within clinical pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Batch, particularly with Spot instances.
• Assess knowledge of job orchestration, cost-aware scaling, idempotency, retries, and large-scale batch quality control.
• General proficiency in AWS services including S3, IAM, and networking.
• Practical experience with ClearML or similar tools.
• Understanding of dataset lineage, provenance, experiment reproducibility, and artifact tracking.
• Experience with Lance or comparable high-performance data access layers.
• Evaluate rapid data loading for training, incremental dataset updates, and the separation of raw media.
• Strong grasp of PostgreSQL services concerning metadata, labels, and predictions.
• Assess database schema design for traceability and auditability.
• Familiarity with OpenSearch, both text and vector capabilities.
• Experience integrating labeling platforms, with a preference for Encord.
• Evaluate understanding of role-based access control (RBAC), access management, quality control workflows, audit trails, and label ingestion.
• Solid understanding of the expectations outlined in 21 CFR Part 11.
• Experience handling data regulated by HIPAA and PHI standards.
• Identify compliance deficiencies in proposed architectures.
• Participate in technical interviews that emphasize real-world production and regulatory challenges.
• Ask scenario-based questions to gauge experience and awareness of risks.
