Senior Cloud Data Engineer, GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and develop high-performance data pipelines (Python, Go, support for Java)

• Create solutions for real-time data processing

• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform with a modular "lego" approach

• Establish and enhance testing strategies (Pytest, integration tests)

• Monitor systems and services (Cloud Logging, Grafana, Prometheus)

• Handle access management and data security (GCP IAM)

• Maintain the platform and provide support (BAU)

• Participate in a rotational support model (on-call): daytime support (8:00–20:00) or 24/7 depending on project phase, along with periods without support to focus on development

• Collaborate with product teams and engage in Agile processes (daily stand-ups, planning, retrospectives)

• Enhance tools and reusable components utilized by the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, including at least 3.5 years working with data on GCP (validated by commercial projects deployed in production)

• Strong proficiency in Python

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCE, GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Functions)

• Familiarity with Terraform and experience in CI/CD (e.g., Cloud Build, GitHub Actions)

• Understanding of event-driven architecture

• Experience in building data pipelines

• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus)

• Experience in testing (Pytest, integration tests)

• Advanced SQL skills

• Conscious use of Generative AI in software development and architectural or technological decision-making

• Proficient in English at an intermediate level (minimum B2) and able to communicate fluently in Polish.
