This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Convert carrier underwriting guidelines and API documentation into precise engineering specifications.
• Assess carrier APIs in relation to Pathpoint's platform: pinpoint gaps, edge cases, and necessary field mappings prior to the development phase.
• Record, prioritize, and monitor requirements across carrier underwriting guidelines, engineering tickets, and internal knowledge repositories.
• Develop and implement QA test plans for carrier integrations, collaborating with engineering to ensure builds align with specifications.
• Ensure the ongoing health of carrier integrations by identifying API issues, incorporating changes in carrier guidelines, and translating them into actionable updates.
• Work together with Underwriting, Sales, and Operations to ensure that carrier business logic is accurately represented in our agent-facing interface and supports internal processes.
• 2-3 years of experience as a technical analyst, implementation analyst, or business systems analyst, preferably in insurance, financial services, or technology.
• Meticulous and thorough in documenting requirements, with a proven history of creating specifications that engineers can effectively utilize.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and tools such as Postman and Bruno; adept at reading API documentation and validating responses.
• Proficient in aggregating and interpreting data from diverse sources.
• Comfortable utilizing AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar) to enhance research, requirements documentation, and API analysis. Eager to continuously improve skills in this area.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities; skilled at prioritizing and managing a variety of tasks.
• Self-motivated individual who quickly adapts to new tasks, tools, and processes.
• Preferred background in commercial insurance (e.g., general liability, property, etc.).
