This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with design, art, engineering, and production teams to execute gameplay features, technical systems, and content across various platforms.
• Serve as a liaison among disciplines, addressing technical challenges and facilitating asset integration, debugging, optimization, and engine implementation.
• Design and maintain tools, scripts, workflows, and pipelines that enhance team productivity and the quality of content.
• Identify usability, visual, and performance challenges, crafting solutions that balance player experience, technical limitations, and production requirements.
• Assist artists and designers in multiple content areas, including animation, materials, FX, UI, and gameplay systems.
• Produce comprehensive documentation for tools, workflows, and technical processes while actively seeking opportunities to enhance production efficiency.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Technical Artist, Technical Designer, or in a similar capacity within the game development industry.
• Solid understanding of real-time game development pipelines, engine integration, and content workflows.
• Experience in developing production tools, workflows, or gameplay systems utilizing scripting or programming languages such as Python, C#, or C++.
• Familiarity with digital content creation (DCC) tools like Maya and workflows related to asset management/version control.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work autonomously in a production setting.
