Technical Adoption Manager – Application Networking and Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Cultivate lasting relationships within designated accounts while gaining insight into the client’s strategic objectives and their overall influence on business outcomes.

• Offer project leadership, coordination, and architectural direction for the customer’s Network Virtualization and significant VMware initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional VMware project teams, which may include VMware consultants, engineers, product management, and support personnel.

• Align additional VMware solutions with the customer’s specific business and technical needs.

• Stay updated on VMware’s load balancing and security offerings, coupled with an overarching technical understanding of VMware’s product range and future developments.

• Lead and manage complex requests across multiple client engagements simultaneously.

• Deliver clear and constructive product feedback to VMware Product Management teams based on customer use cases and requirements.

• Recognize the customer’s high-level business challenges while serving as an advisory resource for “Best Practices” and promoting the adoption of VMware solutions within your accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of proven experience in networking and knowledge of VMware networking products.

• At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles (e.g., Technical Account Manager or technology consultant, preferably within a management consulting, IT vendor, or professional services organization).

• A BS degree is preferred; however, relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• Must possess a solid understanding of VMware products, including the core product suite, virtualization, networking, and security solutions and services.

• A strong technical background in advanced networking and security is essential (preferably with technical certifications).

• A background in data center infrastructure, operating systems, desktop deployments, system administration, and/or technical architecture is also preferred.
