This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.
• Deliver prompt technical support and achieve first-call resolution through incoming calls, community inquiries, and email communications.
• Diagnose and resolve a range of technical issues related to hardware and software, from straightforward to highly complex.
• Collaborate with various teams to address or escalate product-related challenges.
• Offer periodic on-site assistance for service projects, events, installations, and technical support.
• Develop and refresh internal and external knowledge base articles.
• Engage with customers while utilizing Salesforce to document detailed troubleshooting notes, action plans, and site-specific details.
• Participate in shift work and an after-hours rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Take part in technical training on new products and systems.
• An associate degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Coursework or a major in electronics, networking, computers, information systems, network and security administration, electronics technology, or computer engineering technology is ideal.
• Candidates with non-technical majors will be considered if they have prior experience showcasing their technical learning abilities and aptitude.
• Capability to quickly grasp and retain technical concepts and effectively communicate them to customers with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Proven experience in positively interacting with a diverse range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Proficient computer skills, including internet navigation, word processing, spreadsheet management, and familiarity with Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to work independently from a home office setting.
• Willingness to travel to South Dakota up to two times per year for training purposes.
• Must be able to travel by air and ground and adhere to the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.
