Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Lead development teams technically, fostering best practices in engineering and quality.

• Actively engage in the design, development, and evolution of applications and platforms.

• Establish technical standards, development patterns, and architectural guidelines.

• Design and implement APIs, integrations, and scalable solutions in cloud environments.

• Conduct code reviews and provide technical support to developers of varying seniority levels.

• Serve as the technical reference for the team and facilitate complex decision-making.

• Collaborate in estimating, planning, and defining technical aspects of initiatives and projects.

• Identify technical risks and propose pragmatic solutions aligned with business needs.

• Ensure performance, observability, maintainability, and security criteria in developed solutions.

• Work alongside clients, analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.

• Participate in client meetings providing technical support and aiding in solution definition.

• Promote the adoption of tools, automation, and practices enhanced by artificial intelligence within teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience leading technical teams or complex projects.

• Proficiency in Java and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot or equivalents.

• Solid experience in developing REST APIs and working with distributed architectures.

• Experience in event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, or similar.

• Hands-on experience in production cloud environments, preferably AWS.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and deploying modern applications.

• Knowledge of observability and monitoring in production using tools like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.

• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases.

• Experience interacting with clients or business stakeholders in technology projects.

• Ability to make technical decisions balancing speed, quality, and sustainability.

• Experience in mentoring, conducting code reviews, and providing technical guidance to teams.

• Sufficient English proficiency to participate in meetings and technical documentation.
