Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical roadmap for the product portfolio.

• Collaborate with architects to design intricate systems, minimize technical debt, and influence high-level integration strategy decisions.

• Set a standard by contributing high-quality code to our most intricate SaaS products.

• Develop long-term technical solutions and address systemic architectural challenges.

• Promote the adoption of contemporary industry best practices, such as AI-assisted development, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Provide in-depth technical assistance and support for offshore and nearshore teams.

• Facilitate code reviews and design sessions to encourage a culture of engineering excellence.

• Serve as the technical liaison between product management, quality engineering, and DevOps.

• Implement long-term corrective measures for performance and reliability challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in developing, maintaining, and innovating large-scale, high-availability web applications and services.

• A minimum of 2 years in a hands-on technical lead or principal engineering role, steering technical decisions and delivering solutions.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (or equivalent substantial technical experience).

• Strong understanding and practical application of software design and architecture principles, patterns, and long-term integration strategy decisions.

• Expert-level experience with AWS, encompassing cloud architecture, serverless programming, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Extensive knowledge of the Java technology stack, including full-stack development using Java, JSP, Spring Boot, and the React Framework.

• Familiarity with relational databases (PostGreSQL preferred) and NoSQL databases.

• Proven ability to provide in-depth technical guidance and mentorship, lead design sessions, and conduct thorough code reviews.

• Exceptional cross-functional communication skills, with a track record of translating complex technical issues and architectural designs to technical, product, and leadership audiences.

• A strong dedication to fostering engineering excellence and embracing modern industry practices, including DevSecOps and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot/Claude).

• A keen attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to delivering reliable, resilient software products.
