Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver designated course content in a virtual environment.

• Provide instruction and support while effectively managing the learning process.

• Tailor learning experiences and differentiate instruction based on student mastery levels.

• Offer both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities.

• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system.

• Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity is upheld.

• Make informed decisions regarding student placement and promotion.

• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.

• Build positive relationships with families and maintain communication with students and parents/learning coaches.

• Assist parents/learning coaches with curriculum, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues.

• Collaborate with fellow teachers to analyze student data and apply it for instructional purposes.

• Travel as necessary for professional development, student assessments, and school events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Florida 5 Year Professional Gifted Certification.

• Must meet Florida residency requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Active state teaching license is necessary.

• Ability to pass the mandatory background check.

• Capacity to work independently, generally exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Must maintain a professional and distraction-free home office during work hours.

• Previous experience with the designated age group is preferred.

• Experience in assisting both adults and children with technology is advantageous.

• Prior experience teaching online or in a traditional classroom setting is preferred.

• Familiarity with online learning platforms is beneficial.

• Ability to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data.

• Skilled at using student data to inform instructional decisions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Must maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and be fluent in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
