This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Oversee international tax compliance for a group of companies operating in both the EU and the US, collaborating with local tax advisors.
• Supervise VAT, GST, and sales tax processes for digital offerings, including SaaS, subscription services, and B2C business models.
• Coordinate tax reporting, tax payments, and maintain communication with tax authorities across various jurisdictions.
• Manage Controlled Foreign Corporation (CFC) reporting obligations and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
• Evaluate tax implications related to new products, market expansions, payment flows, and business initiatives.
• Identify tax risks, devise mitigation strategies, and assess the impact of legislative changes on the business landscape.
• Engage in the formulation of transfer pricing strategies, coordinate transfer pricing documentation, and analyze intercompany transactions.
• Assist in internal and external audits while ensuring accurate representation of tax issues in financial and management reports.
• Contribute to enhancing the group’s corporate structure from both tax and operational viewpoints.
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Law.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in international taxation acquired within a Big4 firm, an international corporate group, or a consulting agency.
• In-depth knowledge of VAT, GST, and sales tax in cross-border transactions, especially in digital services, SaaS, subscription models, mobile applications, or B2C frameworks.
• Practical understanding of EU and/or US tax regulations.
• Strong grasp of double tax treaties, permanent establishment risk mitigation, transfer pricing principles, OECD guidelines, and the arm’s length principle.
• Experience with CFC structures and transfer pricing issues.
• Knowledge of IFRS principles concerning taxation and tax liabilities.
• Proficiency in Excel with the capability to manage large sets of financial data.
• English proficiency at B2 level or above for reporting and communication with auditors, advisors, and financial institutions.
• Capacity to make independent decisions and take responsibility for results.
• Strong systems thinking skills to comprehend relationships between jurisdictions, entities, and business operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional context.
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and perform well under pressure.
