This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Develop and oversee the routines of the tax team, monitoring requests, delegating tasks, and managing performance to guarantee service quality and the professional growth of team members;
• Ensure precise calculations of municipal, state, and federal taxes, as well as adherence to payment deadlines;
• Guarantee the timely filing of ancillary tax obligations in line with municipal, state, and federal tax laws;
• Assist in the accounting close and strategic management by delivering accurate data and preparing technical opinions on complex tax matters and risk assessments to support informed decision-making;
• Provide guidance and validate tax-related decisions, ensuring that the company's operations adhere to current regulations and governance best practices while evaluating tax risk;
• Facilitate internal and external audits by supplying information and addressing auditors' inquiries to minimize findings of non-conformities and pinpoint necessary procedural corrections;
• Create proposals for process enhancements and automation by mapping workflows and identifying inconsistencies, with the goal of standardizing operations, optimizing resources, and speeding up information flow;
• Oversee and implement tax processes, responding to technical inquiries from team members to ensure excellence in the company's operational functions;
• Contribute to the implementation of the Tax Reform by conducting studies, mapping processes, and identifying tax-saving opportunities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Law, Business Administration, or a related field;
• Significant experience as a team leader in Payment Institutions, Financial Institutions, and/or Fintechs;
• Proficiency in Process Management;
• Experience with taxation under the Lucro Real regime;
• Familiarity with indirect taxes relevant to the sector, particularly PIS/COFINS and ISS concerning banking services;
• Understanding of Tax Reform topics, especially for companies in the Financial and Services sectors, including Split Payment.
