This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Prepare and assist in the preparation of U.S. personal tax returns (individual returns)
• Accurately enter data from tax documents and financial information
• Organize and review tax documentation provided by clients
• Ensure that all tax return inputs are complete and accurate prior to review
• Assist in optimizing tax preparation workflows and internal processes
• Identify inefficiencies within the tax process and recommend improvements
• Support the firm in systematizing and optimizing tax-related operations
• Contribute to the development of more efficient and scalable tax functions
• Assist with tax preparation for a diverse range of clients
• Provide support for multi-state tax returns (experience with California and New York is advantageous)
• Manage allocations and requirements associated with multi-state filings when necessary
• Collaborate closely with the internal team to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
• Utilize tax software platforms including ProSeries, Lacerte, or CCH Axcess
• Operate within practice management systems such as TaxDome
• Quickly adapt to new tools and systems as required
• Maintain organized records and documentation in tax systems
• Demonstrated experience in preparing U.S. personal tax returns (mandatory)
• Familiar with tax software like ProSeries (preferred), Lacerte, or CCH Axcess
• Experience with TaxDome or similar practice management software is a plus
• Knowledge of multi-state tax filings (experience in California and New York is preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and precision in managing financial data
• Ability to handle multiple clients and meet deadlines concurrently
• Process-oriented with a keen interest in enhancing workflows
• Excellent written communication skills in English
• Comfortable working in a structured remote environment
• Eager to learn and adaptable, particularly regarding firm-specific processes and state-specific tax nuances
• Fully remote position supporting a U.S.-based accounting firm
• Part-time schedule (approximately 20 hours per week / 4 hours per day)
