This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Taking T3 operational responsibility for Network & Security services: addressing intricate incidents, leading root cause analysis (RCA) and remediation across the entire network/security stack.
• Ensuring operational readiness for network/security modifications: overseeing monitoring/alerting, validation procedures, rollback strategies, runbooks, and maintenance protocols.
• Assisting with compliance-related operational controls (evidence of logging/monitoring, access enforcement patterns, coordination of vulnerability handling).
• Collaborating with platform and Kubernetes teams to address cluster and application issues stemming from network/security limitations.
• Implementing and enhancing standard operational procedures through automation to decrease manual effort and enhance mean time to recovery (MTTR) and stability.
• Tracking system health, performance metrics, and service availability across multi-tenant environments.
• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving incidents to minimize service interruptions, while initiating RCA and corrective measures.
• Establishing monitoring and logging strategies to fulfill audit and compliance obligations.
• Conducting regular security scans and addressing identified vulnerabilities.
• Over 5 years of experience managing enterprise networks in private cloud or data center production settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing and overseeing Incident, Problem, Change, and Release governance in production environments.
• Proven skills in incident response and troubleshooting across routing, firewalling, connectivity, and service exposure patterns.
• Strong grasp of security fundamentals and operational enforcement within production environments.
• Networking expertise: WAN/LAN, routers, and firewalls (enterprise operations) from Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
• Familiarity with network and security software: ACI, APSTRA, and Panorama.
• Knowledge of connectivity services: tenant private networking and connectivity patterns supporting production platforms.
• Proficient in DNS operations and certificate lifecycle management (issuance, renewal, rotation coordination) using Infoblox.
• Experience with ITSM tools: Jira Service Management, Jira, Confluence.
• Basic understanding of core operational processes (Incident, Change, Problem management, ITSM) and SRE principles.
• Experience in extracting operational insights from monitoring/observability, including managing and tracking SLI/SLA/SLO.
• Practical experience in documenting procedures and enforcing clear runbooks and playbooks.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Mimir, Loki).
• Understanding of contemporary platform operations (Kubernetes/containers, automation, observability) sufficient to oversee specialists.
• Proficient in both English and German (C1 minimum in each language).
