Systems Engineer, New College Grad – 2026

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Assist in the establishment, configuration, upkeep, and troubleshooting of server, storage, and GPU-driven infrastructure environments.

• Provide support for cloud infrastructure and services across platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Create and sustain automation scripts and tools employing languages such as Python, Shell scripting, Java, or JavaScript.

• Oversee system performance, availability, and operational health to ensure reliability and efficiency.

• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance infrastructure modernization and operational enhancements.

• Engage in troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and cloud-related challenges.

• Aid in infrastructure documentation, reporting, and process improvement efforts.

• Leverage data visualization and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to analyze operational metrics and support informed decision-making.

• Investigate and facilitate the integration of Generative AI tools and concepts into infrastructure management and operational workflows.

• Contribute to a cooperative team atmosphere while showcasing initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities.

• Assist in incident response procedures and escalation protocols to minimize system downtime and operational interruptions.

• Support security and compliance monitoring activities to ensure that infrastructure environments adhere to organizational and regulatory standards.

• Participate in capacity planning and resource optimization initiatives to enable scalable infrastructure growth.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of technical knowledge bases and runbooks to bolster team efficiency and knowledge sharing.

• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity measures to safeguard critical infrastructure and data assets.

• Help with network configuration, monitoring, and optimization tasks to ensure dependable connectivity and performance across enterprise systems.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.

• Expected graduation date between May 2025 and August 2026.

• Less than 6 months of pertinent full-time work experience.

• Fundamental understanding of computer systems, networking, and cloud computing principles.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work effectively both independently and within a team-oriented setting.

• Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML, Perl, or Shell scripting (Preferred).

• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and system administration concepts (Preferred).

• Experience with server and storage hardware platforms including Dell, HPE, Supermicro, and NVIDIA GPU systems (Preferred).

• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (Preferred).

• Familiarity with containerization, virtualization, or infrastructure automation tools is a plus (Preferred).

• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or Tableau (Preferred).

• Interest in Generative AI technologies and their application within IT infrastructure and operational environments (Preferred).

• Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and adaptability in academic, internship, or project settings (Preferred).

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities (Preferred).
