Systems Engineer, Distribution and Fulfillment

📋 Description

• Spearhead the creation of automated material handling concept solutions.

• Elaborate material handling concepts into functional layouts.

• Utilize equipment types that optimize functionality and align with the desired output.

• Create automation alternatives for Tier 1 systems and present Customer Pros and Cons to assist in our final recommendations.

• Assess throughput capabilities and ensure proper sizing of equipment applications.

• Aid in the formulation of equipment lists and pricing for equipment.

• Evaluate layout designs to identify the most effective overall strategy.

• Present findings to intercompany teams and the Customer.

• Provide technical sales support to convert concept solutions into integration projects.

• Collaborate with intercompany teams to assist in proposal creation.

• Work alongside intercompany teams to advance proposals into execution phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Material Handling system design.

• A Bachelor’s degree is required (Engineering preferred).

• Proficiency in AutoDesk/AutoCAD drafting software.

• Experience with material handling equipment OEM software drawing packages.

• Comprehensive knowledge of various automated material handling equipment.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and with urgency.

• Some experience with system simulation.

• Significant experience in leading system pricing estimation efforts.

• Experience across all phases of the project lifecycle, from conception to implementation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate and defend solutions to Customers, leading to implementation opportunities.

• Extensive experience in supporting design and sales presentations.

• A creative problem solver with the ability to envision innovative solutions.

• A hardworking individual who collaborates well with others and maintains a positive attitude.
