This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist in managing system lifecycle operations, encompassing requirements gathering, system planning, and technical refresh initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to evaluate system requirements and aid in the implementation of technical solutions.
• Oversee system deployments, upgrades, and maintenance efforts to ensure stability and optimal performance.
• Help manage system configurations, baselines, and documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide technical assistance for system operations, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and resolving issues.
• Create and maintain system architecture documentation, configuration artifacts, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and technical teams to facilitate the integration and implementation of system components.
• Support ongoing monitoring, compliance, and security requirements across systems.
• Engage in technical discussions to assess solutions and adapt to evolving program needs.
• Aid in the planning and execution of system upgrades, enhancements, and sustainment activities.
• Foster a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere while managing multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 4–7+ years of experience in systems engineering, system administration, or similar technical roles.
• Proven experience in enterprise IT environments supporting system operations and lifecycle activities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in supporting Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and system access management.
• Experience with web/application servers (e.g., IIS, Tomcat, or similar).
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, or similar).
• Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative setting.
• Occasional off-hours support (evenings/weekends) may be required for system deployments or maintenance activities.
