Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jamaica.

📋 Description

• Support the qualification of sales leads from an Engineering perspective.

• Act as a reliable technical advisor for both customers and sales teams.

• Facilitate technical sales meetings with clients to identify their Cybersecurity challenges and needs, ensuring alignment with Fortinet solutions and services.

• Serve as the primary technical expert during sales meetings, providing answers and collaborating with customers regarding the features, specifications, and functionalities of Fortinet solutions.

• Develop cybersecurity solutions and Bill of Materials that meet customer requirements.

• Deliver technical presentations on Fortinet products and solutions.

• Lead technical sales initiatives, such as assisting partners with RFx responses, demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts, ensuring Fortinet’s solutions surpass customer expectations.

• Function as the main technical contact for customers and partners, working closely with Account Managers to showcase Fortinet’s value proposition.

• Clearly comprehend, articulate, and convey Fortinet’s value proposition to customers and partners.

• Present in both internal and external meetings, including events, Executive Briefing Centers (EBCs), marketing initiatives, or any market positioning activities.

• Manage multiple opportunities effectively while providing outstanding customer experiences, with accurate reporting in internal tools.

• Proactively handle internal and external communications, including calls, emails, and chats, adhering to predefined SLAs.

• Keep abreast of cybersecurity trends and Fortinet’s product offerings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Security Operations Teams (Blue Team, Red Team, SOC Manager, Senior SOC Analyst).

• More than 3 years in Networking Security (LAN/WAN and WLAN Admin/Manager) with experience in NGFW/SDWAN technologies, as well as Large Campus and Datacenter Networking solutions.

• At least 2 years of experience in pre-sales engineering roles is advantageous.

• Profound understanding of enterprise network security architectures, industry cybersecurity frameworks, and regulations such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, COBIT, PCI-DSS, FERPA, HIPAA, and Zero Trust.

• Strong grasp of Enterprise Cybersecurity and Network Architectures, including concepts like Network Security, Security Operations, Cloud Technologies, Secure Access Service Edge, and Network Access Control.

• Solid understanding of the following technologies and protocols: RADIUS, LDAP, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, VXLAN, IPSEC, 802.1Q, AES, SSH, TLS/SSL, SHA.

• Familiarity with Private and Public Cloud environments, including VMWare, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, Azure, OCI, and Nutanix.

• Experience with modern encryption, authentication, and IAM technologies.

• Strong knowledge of solutions such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, EPP, PAM, DLP is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Professionally proficient in English, able to engage effectively in technical discussions, both in meetings and in written communication.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.

• Professional credentials/accreditations such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, CEH, GSEC, OSCP, TOGAF are advantageous.

• Fortinet Certifications (FCP, FCSS, FCX) are a plus.

• Cloud Certifications from a recognized vendor and fluency in French are also advantageous.
