Systems Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic and technical leadership across enterprise infrastructure environments.

• Design and manage secure, scalable, and integrated systems that facilitate business operations.

• Define infrastructure architectures that encompass data centers, networks, storage, compute, and cloud platforms.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards and modernization goals.

• Develop architecture blueprints that include data centers, networking, storage, compute, and cloud platforms.

• Lead the creation of infrastructure solution designs that align with business and technical needs.

• Establish integration strategies for on-premise and cloud systems.

• Design hybrid architectures that integrate on-premise environments with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP.

• Guide migration projects from legacy infrastructure to cloud-based solutions.

• Assess infrastructure technologies and recommend modernization strategies.

• Ensure that infrastructure architectures incorporate security-by-design principles.

• Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, and operations teams to oversee implementation.

• Maintain and organize architecture documentation and technical artifacts within the enterprise repository.

• Evaluate infrastructure performance and identify opportunities for optimization.

• Design for resilience, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Professional certifications in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP are considered an asset.

• Certifications in virtualization platforms such as VMware are regarded as an advantage.

• Additional certifications like CISSP or ITIL are viewed as beneficial.

• Demonstrated experience as a Systems Architect with a focus on enterprise infrastructure and solution design.

• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, compute, and cloud platforms.

• Experience in designing hybrid architectures and leading infrastructure migration projects.

• Ability to translate business needs into detailed technical designs.

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments.

• Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance requirements, and infrastructure best practices.

• Experience collaborating across technical teams to deliver complex infrastructure solutions.
