Systems and Network Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Convert current on-premises router, switch, and firewall configurations into optimized cloud-native alternatives.

• Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and government stakeholders to create PPSM documentation.

• Oversee the compilation of records and reports related to network operations and maintenance.

• Develop enterprise-level network design documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Diagnose on-premises and cloud network performance challenges.

• Analyze network traffic and offer solutions for capacity planning.

• Monitor and address complex technical issues in control facilities and software.

• Engage with vendor support service teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of reduced system performance.

• Conduct system-level design and configuration for products, including the identification of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications.

• Provide quality assurance reviews and evaluate both new and existing software products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of eight years' experience in network operations, support, and design.

• US Citizen with an active ADP IT-II Public Trust Clearance.

• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP and the OSI model.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing multi-layer network segmentation.

• Practical experience in configuring core routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.

• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Experience in understanding and managing customer expectations.

• Proven track record of coordinating with multiple technical and operational teams.

• Experience in assigning tasks to contractor personnel.
