System Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Utilize critical thinking skills to diagnose, analyze, and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.

• Install and set up new hardware, software, and network components.

• Work in conjunction with the sales team and fellow engineers to create and implement technical solutions.

• Offer support via phone, email, and on-site visits to a diverse range of clients.

• Mentor, coach, and provide training to other engineering staff.

• Continuously learn and engage with emerging technologies.

• Accomplish tasks collaboratively as well as independently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a Managed Service Provider environment.

• Expertise in installing, configuring, and supporting these technologies:

• Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016

• Active Directory

• DHCP

• DNS

• Internet Information Services

• Routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks

• Microsoft Windows 7/8/10

• Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2012/2016

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 is a plus.

• Familiarity with installing, configuring, and supporting the following technologies:

• Microsoft Exchange and Office 365

• Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Microsoft Azure

• VMware 5+

• Workstation imaging development, deployment, and support

• Storage Area Networks (SANs)

• Software deployment tools

• Line of Business applications and their customizations

• Document management systems (DMS) and related tools

• Experience in a law firm is a plus.
