This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer expert knowledge in radar system integration, operations, and lifecycle maintenance.
• Assist FAA surveillance initiatives through performance evaluation, troubleshooting, and modernization strategies.
• Observe, document, and report technical information related to FAA radar system installations and updates.
• Collaborate with FAA partners, contractors, and engineering teams.
• Create and submit technical and status reports throughout the site survey, pre-installation, installation, testing, and acceptance stages.
• Inform Peraton authority of significant risks, issues, and opportunities along with their potential impacts on the schedule.
• Supervise site and vendor technicians, and manage equipment installation timelines.
• Ensure adherence to FAA regulations.
• Monitor newly updated systems following installation and acceptance testing.
• Coordinate with site technicians and vendors on calibrations, alignments, and additional testing to enhance ATC systems.
• Assist with radar upgrades that enhance detection capabilities and improve data accuracy.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 5 years of experience with a BS/BA, 3 years with an MS/MA, 0 years with a PhD, or 9 years without a degree.
• Technical experience in maintaining moderately complex systems such as radars, radios, or networks.
• Strong self-starter qualities.
• Capability to implement conflict resolution and deconfliction processes.
• Ability to work independently in agile environments with minimal oversight or management.
• Strong critical thinking skills and adherence to processes and procedures.
• Willingness and capacity to travel 75% of the time, averaging one month on-site and 1-2 weeks remotely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in analyzing large volumes of relevant data and generating detailed technical reports under time constraints.
• Clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Familiarity with radar operations, ATC systems, and/or Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products and business applications is preferred.
• Competitive base salary ranging from $80,000 to $128,000 annually.
