This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Utilize SQL extensively to assess marketplace performance data and derive actionable insights across essential metrics (liquidity, active quantity, pricing, engagement, and sell-through), highlighting trends, opportunities, and risks for stakeholders.
• Evaluate sales, inventory levels, and on-order items at the style/color/size level to provide recommendations regarding style selections, unit allocations, and pricing strategies that optimize revenue potential while ensuring profitability.
• Conduct exploratory and “ad-hoc” data analyses to assist with various global strategic initiatives.
• Keep abreast of product trends across categories and perform competitive intelligence research to identify emerging areas and uphold a best-in-class assortment.
• Track active supply metrics to ensure that marketplace supply aligns with anticipated demand and monitor initiatives such as SKU-based incentives to gauge opportunity recapture.
• Create and maintain SQL-based dashboards to support the Business Development team.
• Assess current reporting methods and explore new approaches to improve performance tracking.
• Assist with projects and tasks from the manager and other key stakeholders as needed.
• Design and enhance workflows using templates and AI tools across various systems.
• 2-4 years of experience in an analytical position (planning, buying, supply chain, e-commerce, or similar - experience in fashion and footwear is a plus).
• Proficient in SQL with the capability to independently query large datasets and translate findings into actionable steps.
• Understanding of retail mathematics and e-commerce metrics.
• A genuine enthusiasm for product trends across categories.
• Skilled in SQL and Excel.
• Comfortable using AI tools.
• Ability to swiftly transition from data analysis to decision-making while managing multiple projects independently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive ownership mindset.
• Strong research skills for gathering and organizing data to provide actionable recommendations.
• A resourceful and tenacious mindset combined with a robust work ethic.
• Bonus: Familiarity with BI tools (Looker, Tableau), Python, or inventory planning.
