This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee the prior authorization request system and ensure that work queues are managed and addressed effectively and promptly.
• Direct the authorization team in documenting and resolving authorization requests and associated issues.
• Guarantee compliance with contractual obligations, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Track the inventory of authorization requests and distribute resources throughout the day as needed.
• Stay informed about contract requirements, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Recognize opportunities for process and quality enhancements in collaboration with the authorization team and senior management.
• Assess team performance and provide constructive feedback on performance, objectives, and career development.
• Mentor and guide the authorization team regarding SLAs and departmental productivity targets.
• Monitor organizational risks, communicate these risks to leadership, and develop action plans for mitigation.
• Assist in the onboarding, hiring, and training of authorization team members.
• Engage in the creation of job aids and workflows, and implement change management strategies.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Adhere to all policies and standards.
• Bachelor's degree along with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent experience may be considered, based on applicable knowledge, duties, scope, and skills reflective of the position level.
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Visa sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, and CPT.
• Familiarity with contract requirements, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Capability to supervise and coach an authorization team.
• Proficiency in managing authorization request inventories and resource distribution.
• Ability to monitor SLAs, productivity, quality, and organizational risks.
• Competence in assisting with onboarding, hiring, and training processes.
• Skill in developing job aids and workflows, as well as implementing change management strategies.
