This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Create an annual personal development plan centered on spiritual growth, prayer, reflection, church connections, and comprehension of God’s Word.
• Actively engage in the spiritual aspects of the Young Life community while guiding teams and individuals in their spiritual journeys.
• Hold regular meetings with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
• Recruit and mentor new leaders, forming a leadership team that mirrors the community.
• Exemplify contact work, club activities, Campaigners, and camping for other leaders.
• Secure financial support and uphold donor relations practices.
• Provide ministry updates and progress reports to personal donor partners.
• Support camp fundraising efforts and attend occasional committee and adult gatherings.
• Participate in all three tiers of contact work.
• Assist in conducting Young Life club and Campaigners/discipleship ministry.
• Help implement strategies for summer and school-year camping.
• Potentially serve on summer staff or assigned roles at a Young Life property.
• Comply with Young Life's policies and procedures while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Establish and evaluate annual ministry and personal objectives and goals.
• Provide assistance with office administration when necessary.
• Accurately complete expense reports in a timely manner.
• Undertake other assigned duties that align with personal gifts, experience, and area requirements.
• Complete area assignments under the guidance of the area director or assigned mentor.
• Participate in training focused on spiritual growth, personal character development, ministry skills, area strategy, ministry health, and part-time staff fundraising principles.
• Actively pursuing a college degree.
• Established relational skills with both children and adults.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Must profess belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
• Must adhere to Young Life’s Statement of Faith and required staff policies.
• Must be prepared, willing, and capable of fulfilling ministry responsibilities as needed.
• Must comply with Young Life policies and practices.
• Opportunities for ministry and disciple development aligned with the Young Life Statement of Faith.
• Participation in regional training events may be necessary.
• Tailored training overseen by the area director.
• Experience in Young Life discipleship, including summer staff roles, discipleship focus, and adventure camping.
