Student Finance Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist Berklee Online, a leader in online music education.

• Act as the main remote contact for financial-related inquiries.

• Offer guidance on tuition, payment plans, billing statements, and student accounts.

• Handle incoming and outgoing calls and emails during peak enrollment periods.

• Assist students, families, and alumni with tuition statements, payment options, balances, financial holds, refunds, and educational tax documentation.

• Respond to questions regarding registration, add/drop policies, refund procedures, and financial aid opportunities.

• Coordinate with Military Affairs or Financial Analytics as required.

• Oversee tuition payment plans and update CRM settings accordingly.

• Modify payment-plan budgets throughout the enrollment cycle and follow up on returned payments.

• Process credit card transactions, checks, and wire transfers into accounting systems.

• Review past-due accounts, carry out collections outreach, and assist with state escheatment processes.

• Monitor recurring student inquiries to improve business processes.

• Support the onboarding, training, and supervision of student work-study employees.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree is mandatory.

• At least 2 years of proven customer service experience in higher education, banking, sales support, or a student accounts/financial aid setting.

• High level of proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.

• Experience with higher education software and CRMs like Workday Student, Salesforce, and Colleague is highly desirable.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• A solution-oriented approach that performs well under pressure.
