Stress Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct finite element and classical stress analysis of Structures and Mechanisms.

• Develop Stress Analysis Models for Mechanisms and integrate them into existing finite element models.

• Adjust current finite element models as needed to assess the Mechanisms.

• Assist in stress analysis evaluations to effectively advance the design development of Structures and Mechanisms.

• Execute preliminary and final analyses, part sizing, fatigue and fracture assessments, drawing coordination and approval, test support and correlation, analysis presentations, and documentation for deliverable stress and fracture reports.

• Generate and apply load cases, create resulting stress analysis Link models, and perform analysis on subsystem and system level components.

• Engage in iterative analysis with design teams to achieve optimal performance with minimal mass.

• Conduct Mass opportunity assessments and assist with the implementation of long lead hardware.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of pertinent stress analysis experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Proven experience in stress analysis for spacecraft.

• Proficiency in NASTRAN/FEMAP.
