Stress Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct finite element and classical stress analyses of Structures and Mechanisms.

• Develop Stress Analysis Models for Mechanisms and integrate them into existing system finite element models.

• Adjust current finite element models as needed to assess the Mechanisms.

• Assist in stress analysis evaluations to quickly inform the design development of the Structures and Mechanisms.

• Execute preliminary and final analyses, part sizing, fatigue/fracture evaluations, drawing coordination and approval, test support and correlation, presentation of analyses, and documentation for deliverable stress and fracture reports.

• Generate and apply load cases and create resulting stress analysis Link models, executing analysis on both subsystem and system level components.

• Perform iterative analyses with design teams to achieve optimized high performance and low mass designs.

• Conduct Mass opportunity evaluations and aid in the implementation of long lead hardware. Models must adhere to established modeling standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of pertinent stress analysis experience.

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Familiarity with stress analysis on spacecraft.

• Proficient in NASTRAN/FEMAP.

• US Citizenship is mandatory.
