Strategic Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee Soum’s yearly operating budget along with a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, refreshed weekly.

• Take ownership of KPI dashboards that track GMV, take rate, contribution margin, CAC, and payback period.

• Release weekly metrics accompanied by detailed commentary.

• Conduct monthly expenditure reviews across various departments.

• Identify budget discrepancies and deliver root-cause analysis.

• Model unit economics for new projects, pricing strategies, and growth opportunities.

• Leverage AI tools for scenario analysis and present findings to the CFO.

• Prepare updates for investors, board materials, and management presentations.

• Maintain fundraising models that include scenario and sensitivity analyses.

• Assist in the preparation of the financing data room.

• Address ad hoc finance inquiries from the CFO and board.

• Supervise the Finance Analyst for reporting and dashboard upkeep.

• Enhance efficiency by minimizing manual reporting through automation and tools.

• Strong skills in financial modeling and forecasting.

• Experience in creating dashboards and analyzing business KPIs.

• Solid understanding of startup finance, budgeting, cash flow management, and operational metrics.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.

• Strong sense of ownership with the capability to work independently.

• Experience utilizing automation, AI tools, or workflow optimization solutions is highly preferred.
