This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Perform regular 30-day QSD, semi-annual QSD, pre-storm, storm event, and post-storm inspections as outlined in the SWPPP.
• Identify and resolve site compliance and BMP (Best Management Practices) issues.
• Relay site/BMP concerns and inspection findings to construction and client teams.
• Gather stormwater and non-stormwater samples as required.
• Execute field analyses of samples when necessary.
• Confirm site compliance with the SWPPP, associated maps, and permit stipulations.
• Complete, maintain, and submit the required SWPPP reporting documents.
• Provide guidance to project management on BMP implementation and other compliance matters.
• Organize and conduct SWPPP-related training sessions and pertinent communications for project staff.
• Assess construction projects for adherence to stormwater regulations, including the California Construction General Permit, NPDES Construction General Permit, SWPPP, and other relevant requirements.
• QSP/QSD certification is mandatory.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet navigation.
• Understanding of Best Management Practices (BMP) and NPDES regulations.
• Experience with construction job sites and plans is essential.
• Familiarity with field sampling tools is required.
• Capability to perform fieldwork and navigate challenging terrains.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment, random, and annual alcohol/drug screenings as defined by the company.
• A valid driver's license is essential.
• Active personal automobile liability insurance is required by the first day of employment.
• A minimum of four years of field stormwater and/or construction experience is preferred.
• Experience in inspections is preferred.
• QSD certification is compulsory.
• CESSWI certification is recommended but not essential, or an equivalent qualified compliance inspector certification.
• CPESC credential is preferred but not mandatory, or an equivalent qualified compliance inspector certification.
• Access to a 4WD vehicle for inspections is necessary.
• Ability to bend, squat, climb ladders, and lift up to 35 lbs unassisted or 50 lbs with assistance is required.
• Must be able to work outdoors in high noise levels, uneven terrain, extreme weather conditions, and around moving vehicles and equipment.
• U.S. work authorization is required.
• A background check must be passed prior to commencing employment.
