Storage Solutions Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert technical pre-sales assistance for opportunities related to servers, storage, backup, and cloud solutions.

• Engage early with customers in the promotion of servers, storage, backup, and cloud solutions.

• Comprehend and collect customer requirements to propose comprehensive and cost-effective solutions.

• Prepare solution documentation, bill of materials, and collaborate with the Service Delivery team for professional execution.

• Ensure the thoroughness of technical terms and conditions.

• Lead technical presentations and provide clarifications as needed.

• Identify project risks (both technical and execution-related) and suggest mitigation strategies.

• Integrate server, storage, backup, and cloud-centric solutions with support from other presales solutions consultants.

• Upon contract award, facilitate the transition/handover and brief the project implementation team on the overall solution and design.

• Stay informed about product technologies and certifications.

• Keep current with the latest technologies and develop technical capability presentations.

• Achieve selected product/technology certifications to uphold our premium partnership status with product principals.

• Conduct internal technology sharing sessions with colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems, Storage, and cloud (Cloud Engineering) with HPE, IBM, Dell EMC, Hitachi Vantara, NetApp, Cisco UCS, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Vendor certification in technologies such as EMC, IBM, HP, NetApp, Cisco, Juniper, and similar brands.

• Hands-on experience with various operating systems (Microsoft Windows, AIX, Solaris, Red Hat) and virtualized platforms (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, AIX LPAR, Solaris LDOM, and Containers).

• Strong understanding of backup and archival solutions including Veritas, Dell EMC Networker/Avamar/PowerProtect, EMC Data Domain, Veeam, Acronis, Arcserve, etc.

• Good knowledge of virtualization and cloud (IaaS) technologies.

• Customer service-oriented, a good team player, and technically skilled.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Preference will be given to applicants who hold vendor certifications in technologies such as EMC, IBM, HP, NetApp, Cisco, Juniper, and similar brands.
