Storage & Backup Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Your role will be primarily focused on the operation and support of storage and backup platforms, with a particular emphasis on:

• Administration and support of NetApp systems based on ONTAP, including both operational management and troubleshooting.

• Management of Dell block storage platforms and CEPH environments in production.

• Operation and resolution of incidents in Fibre Channel SAN environments, working with Cisco MDS.

• Administration of enterprise backup solutions, specifically focused on Dell EMC Avamar and Data Domain.

• Management of backup clients, policies, retention schedules, and restoration processes.

• Monitoring the performance, capacity, and availability of storage and backup services.

• Coordination of component replacements and service recovery in the event of failures.

• Development and maintenance of clear, updated technical documentation.

• Participation in on-call shifts as per established rotation.

• Collaboration with other infrastructure teams following corporate procedures and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in storage and backup administration in enterprise environments.

• Strong and demonstrable experience with: NetApp ONTAP-based systems.

• Dell block storage platforms and CEPH.

• Fibre Channel SAN environments with Cisco MDS.

• Enterprise backup solutions based on Avamar and Data Domain.

• Ability to operate in productive environments, resolve complex incidents, and work under defined procedures.

• Good level of technical documentation and communication with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Operational, structured approach focused on service stability.

• Desirable: Experience in scripting or automation for administrative tasks.

• Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server environments.

• Previous experience in large organizations or highly regulated environments.

• Certifications in NetApp, Dell/EMC, Avamar, Data Domain, Cisco MDS, or ITIL technologies.
