This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and execute mechanical technical services related to Steam Turbine and Generator systems at both utility and industrial power plants.
• Deliver on-site technical guidance for Steam Turbine and Generator systems.
• Assess and ensure adherence to engineering documentation and operational procedures.
• Diagnose issues with plant equipment and systems.
• Conduct mechanical tasks on Steam Turbines, Generators, and Valves while adhering to safety protocols, ensuring high quality and timely completion.
• Organize, coordinate, and carry out the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of turbine, valve, and generator components.
• Collaborate closely with team members, contractors, and clients to facilitate site and outage operations.
• Assist in pre-outage preparation and post-outage documentation, including necessary reports and records.
• Enhance customer satisfaction through dependable field service and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Actively promote GE Vernova’s vision and core values.
• Technical or university degree, relevant qualifying experience, or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 3 years in a Field Services capacity.
• At least 2 years of experience in the power sector, encompassing utility, industrial, hydro, oil and gas, turbine generator maintenance, or equipment installation.
• Solid understanding of the mechanical systems and components of Steam Turbines, Valves, and Generators.
• Hands-on experience with disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of mechanical equipment during outages or maintenance tasks.
• Competence in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings, P&IDs, and schematic diagrams.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong skills in documentation and report writing.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
• Capability to work independently while coordinating with project and site teams.
• Strong dedication to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Ability to perform under outage schedules and time-sensitive site conditions.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in managing multiple site activities efficiently.
