Staff Software Engineer – Risk & Identity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Technical Reference and Architecture: Design and enhance the architecture of distributed systems emphasizing high availability, low latency, and resilience.

• Hands-on: Engage in coding, conduct thorough code reviews, and actively participate in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.

• Incident Response: Spearhead the resolution of critical incidents, ensuring prompt responses and developing action plans to prevent future occurrences.

• Technology Transition: Collaborate effectively with our Elixir-based legacy systems while guiding and supporting the development of new projects in Golang. (We are looking for someone who is open-minded and enthusiastic about learning new technologies.)

• Observability Culture: Foster advanced monitoring, messaging, and deep observability practices throughout our infrastructure.

• Strategic Vision: Convert business risk-management challenges into robust technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Staff, Lead Engineer, or Solution Architect in high-complexity, large-scale environments.

• Solid background in Distributed Systems, messaging, and event-driven architectures.

• Analytical expertise with Relational Databases (particularly PostgreSQL), including query optimization and managing large data volumes.

• Practical experience with observability and monitoring tools and best practices.

• Technology-agnostic mindset: comfortable transitioning between languages, willing to work with legacy systems, and eager to embrace new technologies.
