This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Construct paved pathways. Design and manage shared platform components utilized by various teams (including authorization and routing guardrails, secure logging, rollout controls, observability, queue infrastructure, and the centralized LLM gateway) to ensure teams adhere to standards rather than reinventing solutions.
• Ensure changes are safe by default. Take ownership of reliability and change-safety systems that empower the organization to move swiftly without compromising trust: CI/CD gates, migration safety patterns, progressive delivery, rollback automation, and kill switches.
• Enforce security at the platform level. Deliver secure defaults, policy enforcement frameworks, audit capabilities, and data-access guard libraries to make the secure path the most accessible option.
• Manage global delivery controls. Execute single-domain strategies, region pinning and routing, residency-aware behavior, and cross-region configuration consistency checks for enterprise clients globally.
• Elevate operational standards. Set SLOs, implement synthetic checks, establish alerting standards, and create incident runbooks and drills that promote quicker detection and recovery.
• Develop the internal developer platform. Create service templates, approved internal tool pathways, and standard deployment, monitoring, and authentication patterns that encourage best practices.
• Operate an AI-native engineering environment. Build automation infrastructure for issue-to-PR processes with governance, human-in-control workflows, and audit logs that transform signals into verifiable, human-approved execution results.
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, distributed systems, infrastructure, or platform/SRE roles, with a proven history of building systems that other teams rely on.
• You create reusable components, not standalone features. You envision paved roads, secure defaults, and scalable standards across multiple teams.
• Practical experience with CI/CD, progressive delivery, rollback and migration safety, observability, SLOs, and incident response.
• Proficient in developing and managing services within cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiar with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledgeable in implementing platform-level guardrails (authorization, auditability, data-access controls, and policy enforcement) with a focus on privacy and residency considerations.
• Strong software engineering capabilities, including the ability to write maintainable code, debug distributed systems, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Enthusiastic about addressing unfamiliar challenges, learning new technologies, and influencing our platform and culture.
• Capable of articulating technical concepts clearly and collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision) from the first day of employment.
• Generous paid time off, company-wide rest and relaxation shutdowns, and paid parental leave.
• Retirement plan support available for both US and global employees.
• Engaging missions from day one, with direct responsibility for projects that define the company.
• Collaborate with the executive team with insights into strategy and decision-making.
• Influence company direction through real-time customer feedback and market insights.
• Significant ownership in a venture-backed company poised for growth.
• Financial benefits resulting from rapid scaling.
• Additional grants as we grow and you deliver outstanding performance.
• A culture designed for top talent: a drive to win, limitless growth, and a team that tackles complex challenges and celebrates significant achievements together.
