Staff Software Engineer, Platform

📋 Description

• Build a foundation that accelerates product development through the creation of reusable, scalable, high-quality components.

• Design and construct core services and product platform components, including entity and relationship systems, for utilization across the engineering organization.

• Develop and sustain search infrastructure, which encompasses search indexes and relevance systems.

• Manage DevOps initiatives, including the use of AWS, Terraform configurations, infrastructure upgrades, and platform observability.

• Enhance the backend repository and Go stack to boost developer iteration speed.

• Offer consulting and mentorship to engineering teams.

• Advocate for best practices and facilitate the adoption of new platform technologies.

• Spearhead cross-cutting initiatives and provide consultation on architectural decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience concentrating on foundational platform services and infrastructure.

• Extensive experience with AWS, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code for large-scale distributed systems.

• Profound expertise in Go and backend architectures.

• Proven experience in creating reusable frameworks and tools.

• Strong comprehension of developer productivity metrics.

• Experience in enhancing internal engineering iteration cycles.

• Familiarity with search infrastructure and indexing strategies.

• Experience with observability platforms.

• Capability to lead cross-cutting initiatives and provide consultation on architectural decisions.
