Staff Software Engineer – Node.JS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Take the lead on technical decisions related to key platform capabilities and convert business requirements into actionable technical roadmaps.

• Act as a domain specialist, establishing scalable and maintainable domain boundaries as well as service architectures.

• Design, develop, and enhance backend functionalities and APIs across various systems and domains.

• Assume full responsibility for end-to-end product features, focusing on scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.

• Champion engineering best practices through active coding, mentorship, and technical guidance.

• Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver significant solutions.

• Clearly convey complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Advocate for contemporary software engineering methodologies, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOLID principles, GRASP, and API-first architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale, customer-oriented software products.

• Strong proficiency in backend services, distributed systems, and application/data integration.

• Practical experience in implementing Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and API-first principles in multi-tenant platforms.

• Robust full-stack engineering background with a deep understanding of software design patterns and best practices.

• Expertise in TypeScript and Node.js is preferred, or significant experience with backend technologies such as Java, .NET/C#, Kotlin, Python, or Go.

• Capability to transform product requirements into scalable technical designs and implementation plans.

• Strong sense of ownership with the ability to manage projects from start to finish.
