This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop scalable, AI-driven microservices and comprehensive geospatial applications that adhere to performance, reliability, and security criteria for mission-critical deployment scenarios.
• Spearhead the incorporation of AI and machine learning features into geospatial applications utilizing enterprise AI platforms, ensuring production-level quality and measurable operational effectiveness.
• Create autonomous AI systems for validating spatial data quality, conducting geospatial analyses, and automating workflows to minimize manual tasks and enhance data accuracy.
• Propel the AI-assisted developer operations initiative by managing agent frameworks, intelligent DevOps tools, and automated code review processes that boost team productivity.
• Design serverless architectures and RESTful APIs for geospatial data services, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and adherence to contemporary API design principles.
• Implement and refine CI/CD pipelines following infrastructure-as-code methodologies, achieving reliable, repeatable, and auditable delivery across various environments.
• Manage integrations with enterprise GIS platforms and spatial data processing systems, ensuring data flows are precise, efficient, and interoperable throughout the technology stack.
• Enhance the team's engineering capabilities through active mentorship, thorough code reviews, and the establishment of best practices that elevate collective technical standards.
• Ensure the integration of security protocols, multi-tenant isolation, and compliance measures into AI-driven features throughout the development lifecycle.
• Take responsibility for the overall health, quality, and progression of geospatial and AI engineering outputs for the products under your stewardship.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Over 5 years of experience in full-stack web application development
• Expertise in TypeScript along with modern frontend and backend frameworks
• Practical experience with geospatial technologies, including Esri, MapLibre, Mapbox, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and serverless architectures
• Strong grasp of microservices architecture and RESTful API design principles
• Experience with both relational and spatial databases; PostgreSQL and PostGIS preferred
• Proficient with version control systems and agile development practices
