Staff Software Engineer – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical direction and overall health of essential platform services and workflows

• Lead the design and implementation of intricate backend systems

• Make informed technical choices regarding architecture, scalability, reliability, and maintainability

• Drive projects from initial design through to production rollout and ongoing support

• Develop production code for key platform features and services

• Create and sustain backend APIs utilizing ASP.NET Core

• Design and support internal-facing application experiences leveraging Blazor

• Resolve complex production issues across services, infrastructure, and databases

• Contribute to dynamic forms and workflow systems that accommodate changing regulatory requirements

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend and distributed systems

• Proven experience leading technical projects and influencing architectural decisions

• Extensive experience in building APIs and backend services using C# / .NET

• Proficient with PostgreSQL, Entity Framework Core, relational schema design, and query optimization

• Experience with asynchronous processing and workflow orchestration systems like Quartz.NET, Temporal, or Hangfire

• Solid understanding of scalable backend architecture and service design

• Previous experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments is a plus

• Ability to navigate uncertainty and make effective technical trade-off decisions

• Comfortable working across architecture, implementation, operations, and delivery
