Staff Software Engineer – Front-End

📋 Description

• Create the ECL Command Center along with several internal web-based applications.

• Provide scientists with a comprehensive set of tools for experiment design, progress tracking, and result analysis.

• Work closely with the exceptional ECL Design team.

• Participate in feature development while upholding high standards of software engineering practices.

• Regularly assess the technology stack to improve software delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in web development.

• Proven experience in a technical leadership role.

• Bachelor's degree and/or higher education in computer science or equivalent experience.

• Expertise in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with React and Redux or similar frameworks.

• Eagerness to push the limits of client-side web development to create a distinctive user experience.

• Experience with Electron.

• Committed problem solver – both analytically and strategically – capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with frequent releases.

• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.

• Experience collaborating closely with creative teams such as design.

• Familiarity with website testing frameworks (Cypress, Percy, Storybook, Chromatic, etc.).

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly interactions.
