Senior Software Engineer – Frontend, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• A highly proficient senior team member tasked with the design, documentation, development, and testing of a contemporary web application utilizing cutting-edge best practices and design patterns.

• Independently creates, modifies, and tests software units in accordance with corporate software process documentation.

• Identifies software process improvement opportunities on their own, discusses them with colleagues, and implements solutions to bridge gaps.

• Leverages AI tools such as Github Copilot to produce modern and maintainable code.

• Responsible for creating software design specifications, interface descriptions, and other essential software documentation.

• Converts high-level requirements into actionable software design and implementation.

• Develops, executes, and validates unit and integration tests in collaboration with the Software Test team.

• Utilizes Test Driven Development (TDD) to uphold quality standards.

• Regularly conducts code reviews and provides constructive feedback to peers and junior engineers.

• Accountable for training, mentoring, and developing junior team members.

• Independently troubleshoots, replicates, and resolves build and deployment challenges.

• May be assigned to create proof-of-concept projects that showcase new technologies or development methodologies.

• May serve as the designated Tandem Software Development representative for external partnerships, such as with clinical research organizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in formal software testing methodologies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Expert in ReactJs.

• Experience in writing well-tested and modular TypeScript code.

• Proficient in using Docker containers for development support and deployment processes.

• Familiar with selecting and deploying cloud technologies within Azure and/or AWS.

• Skilled in defining and translating high-level requirements into software design and implementation.

• Capable of working independently and delivering high-quality results without close supervision.

• Able to articulate work assignments and guide the efforts of junior team members.

• Effective in conveying information related to work products and leading group discussions.

• Knowledgeable in REST API contract design.

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or possesses an equivalent combination of education and relevant job experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in cloud or web application software development, or in a related field.
