This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Assume responsibility for key components of the Developer Platform, including monorepo CI/CD, the Agentic AI platform (DriftlessAF), shared build infrastructure, and the change-throughput substrate, while also contributing to the technical direction with the team.
• Enhance the speed, reliability, and overall developer experience of the monorepo CI/CD pipeline, allowing engineers to focus more on shipping features rather than waiting on or troubleshooting builds.
• Play a role in advancing the next generation of change throughput by investigating alternatives to PR-based workflows for agent-driven changes, facilitating trusted agents to directly commit to the main branch with automated validation, and supporting AI-assisted review and auto-merge processes for low-risk changes.
• Assist in productionizing the Agentic AI platform by implementing agent observability (structured traces, cost tracking, and debuggability), establishing RAG-as-platform capabilities for teams to provide shared memory to their agents, and ensuring the context-engineering patterns (skills, tools, memory) that maintain agent reliability from development through production.
• Collaborate with the team to unify disparate build systems and create standardized "paved road" blueprints, enabling new products to onboard seamlessly to the monorepo and deploy to production efficiently.
• Work closely with engineers throughout the organization to identify sources of toil, formalize patterns, and automate repetitive manual tasks, viewing internal stakeholder teams as customers of the platform.
• Guide and mentor teammates, elevate the standards for design and code reviews, and act as a technical advocate for engineering velocity and operational excellence.
• Over 8 years of experience in building and managing production services and platform infrastructure in contemporary cloud environments.
• Proficient in Go, or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
• Extensive technical knowledge in CI/CD systems, container-based orchestration, and the tools necessary to scale a large monorepo across build, test, and release processes.
• Experience in shaping technical direction across various teams by assessing tradeoffs, assisting in deprecating outdated systems, and fostering alignment around a target architecture.
• Familiar with Agentic AI and LLM-based automation in production, as well as a keen interest in context engineering (RAG, memory, tool-calling) at platform scale.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven history of identifying and automating repetitive manual tasks in conjunction with the engineers most affected by them.
• Comfortable with uncertainty and focused on data-driven enhancements to product delivery — you are self-motivated, maintain high standards, and excel in a fast-paced environment where quality and speed are equally prioritized.
• Flexible & Remote-First Culture: Work remotely with opportunities for team meetups, bi-annual destination summits, and a monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone, and internet expenses.
• Our Approach to Equity: Receive stock options upon hiring and promotion. Additionally, you can engage in secondary offerings and enjoy a 10-year window to exercise your options (that's right: 10 years!).
• 100% Covered Health Insurance: We fully cover your health, vision, and dental insurance premiums for you and your dependents. Nothing is deducted from your paycheck.
• ∞ Flexible Time Off: Take the time you need — to perform at your best, it's essential to recharge and reset.
• 18 Weeks Paid Parental Leave: We provide 18 weeks for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents, with the flexibility to utilize the leave all at once or spread it throughout your child's first year.
