Staff Software Engineer, Audit – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Establish the technical direction for agentic financial audit experiences, making architectural choices that harmonize autonomy, reliability, and auditability.

• Take ownership of the most intricate and unclear engineering challenges on the team, driving them towards resolution without needing a clearly defined path presented to you.

• Design and develop agent-driven workflows from the ground up, determining where AI autonomy is suitable and where human judgment must remain involved.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to influence what we create, not just the methods of creation, by integrating technical perspectives into roadmap and strategy discussions from the outset.

• Mentor and develop fellow engineers through code reviews, collaborative work, and your approach to tackling and communicating complex issues.

• Contribute to our interviewing process and assist in elevating our standards as we expand the team.

• An experienced full-stack engineer with a proven history of guiding large, intricate projects from ambiguous problems to production stages.

• Skilled in establishing technical direction at the team or organizational level, not just executing within it.

• Comfortable working in situations where requirements are unclear and solutions are not immediately apparent.

• A strong technical collaborator who shapes product and design decisions.

• Currently using AI coding tools as an integral part of your workflow and thoughtfully considering where agentic methods provide significant advantages.

• Capable of rapidly acquiring in-depth domain knowledge; while prior knowledge of financial auditing is not required, you will become proficient enough to make informed technical decisions within months.
