This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Staff Software Engineer will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions for the organization.
• This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, to deliver innovative and scalable software products that fulfill the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
• Expertise and leadership will be crucial in steering the team and ensuring adherence to best practices in software development.
• Design, code, test, and debug software applications in line with established coding standards and best practices.
• Develop APIs that ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
• Work in partnership with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Engage in code reviews to uphold code quality, ensure consistency, and facilitate knowledge sharing among team members.
• Identify and resolve software defects and issues, using analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to devise efficient and effective solutions.
• Create and maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture, design documents, and user guides.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and DevOps, to guarantee seamless integration of software components and successful product launches.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development. Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance development efficiency and product quality.
• 0+ years of professional software engineering experience in building, operating, and evolving production-scale applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in software development using Golang.
• 4+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing services within Kubernetes-based environments.
• 4+ years of experience in designing and constructing scalable, high-performing APIs with a focus on reliability, operability, maintainability, and long-term technical direction.
• A proven history of providing technical leadership, including conducting technical design reviews, influencing engineering standards, and making architectural decisions for teams comprising 5+ software engineers across multiple ongoing projects.
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools to enhance engineering productivity, code quality, and developer workflows.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance optimization.
• Experience in shaping technical strategy, achieving alignment across teams, and facilitating execution through strong communication, collaboration, and creativity.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and using modern collaboration and project management tools like Jira.
• Nice to have: Python development experience.
