Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Storage Engine Development: Create and execute innovative approaches for designing table schemas, materialization, and compaction at a large scale.

• Platform Engineering: Develop and sustain a multi-tenant, highly available infrastructure that supports background computational tasks for Kora’s long-term storage. Ensure the platform is fine-tuned for scalability, reliability, and resilience, in line with organizational goals.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work together with product management, design, and other engineering teams to guarantee the smooth integration of storage features and infrastructure within the wider organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a knack for influencing and guiding stakeholders across all levels.

• Knowledge of or experience contributing to the following open-source technologies: Apache Kafka, Apache Iceberg, Apache Flink.

• Familiarity or experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
