Staff Search Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Participate in back-end development to fulfill our product's changing demands, ensuring solutions that are robust, scalable, and high-performing.

• Involve yourself in every phase of the product lifecycle, from initial conception through deployment, refinement, and scaling.

• Design, implement, and manage ElasticSearch environments that align with the product’s performance and scalability standards.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and team members to thoroughly understand and address user needs and business goals.

• Maintain high standards in software development, emphasizing clean, testable, and maintainable code.

• Actively engage in code reviews, architecture discussions, and the ongoing enhancement of our development processes.

• Promote a culture of ownership, where team members feel empowered and responsible for their contributions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-10+ years of experience in software development with a solid foundation in computer science.

• At least 3 years of recent experience with ElasticSearch or a similar technology.

• Ability to design and manage complex systems and high-load services.

• Comprehensive understanding of ElasticSearch and familiarity with AWS infrastructure.

• Proven experience in Golang development or a strong willingness to learn and adapt.

• Strong grounding in computing theory, including OOP principles, database theory (RDBMS, NoSQL), and network interactions.

• Experience with REST API development, web application frameworks, testing frameworks, and version control systems (GIT).

• Proficiency in Python, PHP, or JavaScript (Node.js), Java, particularly in developing scalable, high-load services.

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and Agile development practices.

• Effective communication skills in English for collaboration in an international team setting.
