Staff ML Engineer, GenAI, Voice & Speech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and create machine learning infrastructure, tools, and models for product teams.

• Assist teams in comprehending the machine learning data lifecycle and experimental methodologies.

• Develop internal products and platforms that facilitate AI features in customer-facing applications.

• Provide consultation to teams regarding machine learning patterns, anti-patterns, trade-offs, and comprehensive customer experiences.

• Construct scalable and resilient services for data integration, event processing, and platform enhancements.

• Enhance product functionality to accommodate large volumes of data and traffic.

• Produce high-quality, efficient, sustainable, and testable code.

• Mentor and collaborate with stakeholders both within and outside of the team.

• Design functionalities across distributed cloud components and services.

• Convert product objectives into actionable engineering strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in Machine Learning or AI, particularly with expertise in audio and voice GenAI solutions at scale.

• Profound knowledge of LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, high-scale audio/voice models, and LLM evaluations.

• Experience in managing and storing terabytes of data or hundreds of millions to billions of records.

• Proven track record of building and deploying production ML-driven B2B multi-tenant applications at scale.

• Proficiency in Python, Jupyter, workflow engines such as Dagster, MLFlow, and KubeFlow, DVC, Triton Server, LLMs, and Postgres.

• Experience with data labeling or annotation related to audio or text use cases.

• Knowledge of distributed systems and scalable, redundant, observable services.

• Expertise in designing systems for distributed datasets and services.

• Familiarity with deploying solutions on public cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.

• Experience in providing stable libraries and SDKs for internal utilization.

• Proven ability to deliver complex projects in enterprise-grade production settings.

• Demonstrated leadership or mentorship abilities.

• Experience with low-latency natural language models and pipelines at scale.

• Familiarity with real-time audio models and voice applications, including transcription, ASR pipelines with interruption detection, audio alignment, and speech synthesis.

• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Understanding of containers and orchestration at scale; knowledge of Kubernetes or GKE and the Operator Pattern is an advantage.

• Experience handling sensitive PHI/HIPAA and PII data.

• Proficient in automation and container-based workflow engines.

• Experience with GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and configuration-driven systems.

• Strong skills in coding and system design.
