This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take full responsibility for the complete execution of ML systems: encompassing data pipelines, training workflows, evaluation systems, inference architecture, and deployment.
• Refine and adjust models utilizing cutting-edge techniques such as LoRA, QLoRA, SFT, DPO, and distillation.
• Design and manage scalable inference systems, ensuring a balance between latency, cost, and reliability.
• Create and sustain data systems that provide high-quality synthetic and real-world training data.
• Develop evaluation pipelines that assess performance, robustness, safety, and bias, collaborating closely with research leadership.
• Oversee production deployment, focusing on GPU optimization, memory efficiency, latency reduction, and scaling strategies.
• Work in close collaboration with application engineering teams to seamlessly integrate ML systems into backend, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Make practical trade-offs and implement enhancements swiftly, gaining insights from real-world usage.
• Operate under actual production constraints: including latency, cost, reliability, and safety.
• You have developed or released genuine ML systems that are actively used by people, rather than just prototypes.
• You are adept at working with large models and possess an understanding of their potential failure modes.
• You produce robust, production-quality code and prioritize system reliability.
• You are self-motivated, practical, and take full responsibility for results.
• You communicate effectively and work well within small, high-trust teams.
